Tuesday, July 1, 2008 - Tasted with Scott Roddy, who graciously shared this bottle with me. Wow!, what a wonderful deep red hazy color. Very natural looking. On the nose a very sure mushroom smell. Not strong or in your face, more like walking through the forest and smelling a fresh patch of them just up ahead. Also hints of forest, maybe in Autumn. Nice strawberry and red fruit nose. The taste is rich and elegant. Incredible smoothness and a long finish. A very nuanced wine, I wish I had cases. Man, the Chevillons I have had lately have been very impressive.
