Sunday, March 24, 2013 - A shimmering dark ruby in the glass, our first bottle of this featured cherries, red currant, citrus, leather and oak on the nose. Surprisingly youthful and exuberant, with a tightly wound, high-toned attack. Had been opened just 30 minutes before consuming with braised beef short ribs, and I see that a more lengthy decant is called for. Overall, we were surprised this was so youthful, with exuberant fruit and moderately high acidity. This was delicious and should age very well!
