Tuesday, March 18, 2014 - WSET Level 3 Course - Berry Brothers & Rudd; 1/25/2014-3/22/2014 (Berry Brothers & Rudd - Basingstoke): Tasted Single Blind - under WSET 3 exam conditions (for practice). Presented with choice of 3 possible generic identities for the sample.

Appearance: clear, medium garnet with a tawny rim. Clear legs evident
Nose: clean medium(+) intensity aromas of red fruits, oak, mature savoury notes, developing/fully developed
Palate: dry, medium(+) acidity, medium(+) tannins, medium body, medium level of alcohol (13.5%), medium intensity of flavour - red fruit, oak, mature savoury notes, medium(+) length finish
Overall: very good balance, quite long, intense, complex
Conclusion: VERY GOOD; can drink now - suitable for further ageing. HIGH price (£14.39).
