Wednesday, March 19, 2014 - - Garnet color and aromas of cedar and licorice anise. It's balanced and has flavours of black currant, cherry and mushroom with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a long finish - Brick red colored with a brown edge, the wine is showing some of it's age. The nose says "old world", with cedar and sandalwood joining the saddle leather in an earthy perfume. Supple texture, rich flavors of black fruits and plenty of leather, mushroom and other earth notes. Tannins are soft but the wine still has great presence and a long finish. Very good stuff!
