Friday, January 11, 2013 - While I have had better bottles of this Henri Billiot, this was still a very interesting rose. Nobody will mistake the Billiot rose for a restrained or elegant champagne, as this is in your face and powerful from the moment the cork is popped. Demented red apples that are coated with sweet tarts reach out and slap you in the face upon the first sip. After the apples start wearing off, you notice spices, strawberry, honey and biscuits. If you like powerful champagnes with oodles of fresh fruit, this may be your wine.
