Friday, August 24, 2012 - wow was i impressed with this, fits my hypothesis that in good years with ripeness Beaune wines benefit disproportionately to their gen'ly more well respected Nuits counterparts, dark ruby/purple color - looking young as u wld expect, immediate funk on the nose which turned fruity (blue/bk) within minutes, big nose of ripe fruit with just a touch of spice for an accent, palate was big too -- both fruit and some light spice (cinnamon?), big but not overdone with good acidity (1st comment from joe was love that acid)... i am optimistic that this wine's fruit will continue to be big and the secondary flavors will build... definite buy / great QPR... this could go up 2 or more points over time
