Monday, February 13, 2012 - Decanted about 30 minutes. Light to medium ruby color. Raspberry, cherry, baking spices, some earthiness, nice minerality, and a slight herbal note on the soft and pleasing nose. Barely medium body with soft, ripe tannins and very nice acidity. Silky fruit and spice on the palate with an herbal note coming in on the backend. Very lithe on the palate with absolutely no excess weight, shows wonderful balance. Medium length finish, which will probably fill out with some additional cellar time allowing the acidity to fully integrate. Drinking very nicely today, but very young. Warrants at least 6 months additional cellar time.
