Sunday, November 17, 2013 - Opened this at a homemade deep-dish pizza dinner with friends. This is not one of the heavy weight Turley's. Color was a light ruby nicely transparent. Fragrant with red berry, some strawberry and some tobacco-like notes - but not overwhelming. There was some heat on the palate but it dissipated over time. I found the balance of this wine to be right on and IMO this wine is in the sweet spot for drinking. A good complement to the rich pizza.
