Wednesday, February 2, 2011 - Grenache Syrah blend, 14% alcohol. Popped and poured. Garnet red color, nearly opaque. Closed down at first then vanilla, baking spices and some floral tones emerged on the nose. A little oak, strawberry and deep tart berry flavors, concentrated, a little sweet, but not overly so. As it opened a little pepper become apparent. I was told the 2008 Grenache Syrah blend was a first for the winery. Excellent effort. A delicious QPR for sure. Would buy again.
