Monday, November 28, 2011 - This wine is squarely in a category I usually avoid - sweetish, high-alcohol oaky new world red blends. But it is distinguished by its interesting mix of flavors (cherry, pomegranate, baking spices, a hint of olive) and its lack of overly hot or jammy notes. It is actually quite an enjoyable wine, one that I wouldn't hesitate to pour at a party with non-corkdork friends. I think that they would like the label, too.
