Sunday, November 13, 2011 - Opened and poured, the wine showed in an open, accessible style. The aromatics are detailed and provide red cherry, floral and spice notes with an underlying stem element. The color is a medium to dark ruby that is appropriate for the wines age. The medium bodied palate shows detail, balance and length on the finish. The tannins are well rounded and subtle with acidity present on the finish. This drinks well now and should benefit from an additional year or two of bottle age.
