The elegance on the palate is showstopping, reverberating the spice and fruit but it is like a feather on the palate. I can see where one might be distracted by the floral perfume but this is anything but candied, it is silky liquid fruit with strong floral perfume that is tempered by cherry pit acidity. Very powerful but with vanishing weight. I've not had anything like this from California, the wood, tannin, and acidity harmonize perfectly. So good I don't have a good feel for how great it can be, but just delicious and I will get more. 93-95.
