There is red fruit and some horse and leather that very elegantly compliments the herbs and earth. Still perfumed and light it shows great elegance with fresh berries in the background. With air it becomes savory, with berries, and a bacon finish with food. There is definitely a touch of brett to this compared to my previous tastes but it integrates so well and provides a food experience that is complimentary. It's like a great slightly tainted Rhone blend but with some beautiful pinot noir sensibility. This was a great bottle because the wine is spectacular and not even a small flaw could mask it.
