Friday, July 4, 2014 - Saw the brett notes but got little if any on this magnum. Smoky and earthy on the nose which got me really excited as an earthy nose is pretty much my go to in pinot. Unfortunately was lacking the depth to carry that, at least night one (saving a little just in case). Some fruit, some acid and a half decent finish, but again missing the depth that would've put it over the top. No sense of heat (mentioned by someone else) or tannins (pretty damned integrated if you ask me).

Day two added a bit of depth, but not enough to change the score.
