Tuesday, June 2, 2015 - #4 of 6. Ripe, accessible, tarry, almost varnishy, young Barolo-like nose right out of the gate, this is succulent, forward, detailed and delicious. Ripe for sure, with hints of stem inclusion easily balanced by the gobs of dry extract. Notes of cola and spice intermingle with the big, juicy, but still focused, ripe black cherry compote. Yum. Can't wait for the single vineyard designates! (But I am...) This bottle good for another 3-6 years.
