Wow. SO much better. Actually the slightest waft of funk to start but then quickly leading to baking spice and savory wine with dried herbs, hints of underbrush all which dominants the raspberry-creme before leading to a loamy finish. The tannin actually came back to a bit of firmness and grip, but this is still extremely decadent. Old worlders need not apply. For me this is right on that edge of being too much.
