90 Points

Saturday, November 23, 2013 - Purchased at a restaurant, this wine had a deep red center and pale red rims. As is always the problem with buying wine at a restaurant, I was only able to give this wine 40 minutes of air before the drinking commenced.

The wine improved dramatically during this period. Would it continue to improve? The medium intensity nose displayed black cherries, cola, and some sandalwood spice.

In the mouth, this wine had nice balance, nice rounded tannin, and good length. While it could have been better integrated, it was certainly do fine for a 2008.

My guess is that this will be best in 5 to 10 years. At that point it should pick up a point or two.
