Sunday, September 1, 2013 - Obviously a well made wine. Maybe I don't know what to expect from. Barolo. Maybe this bottle was flawed. I found it tannic, with a gritty residue. Lovely light ruby color with orange hue. I did smell citrus, flowers. Did not linger much on the palate. Expected more body, something sweeter? This is a good lesson: must try other barolos to get to know them better.

9/2/2013 11:00:00 AM - I haven't tasted this wine is quite some time, but I really wouldn't be surprised if it was completely shut down (sleeping for now). Honestly, I find most Barolo to be reasonably accessable for the first year after release (however, still very tannic). After that, I wait until age ten--if not fifteen to check on them again.
