Wednesday, October 22, 2014 - Lovely wine at what I would call a value price for 2010… the nose is classic Gevrey with lots of dark fruit, damp earth, animale, and a hint of pitch. There is also a hint of green, likely from some stems? The palate is outstanding with really good concentration and notes of black raspberry, black cherry, and damp underbrush. The finish is fantastic. This is a baby currently, but is actually quite outstanding. It will continue to develop well. This was my first bottle with this producer which is why I tried it early. I was impressed, especially at the price given the current burgundy market...
