Saturday, August 30, 2008 - Fall 2008 Housekeeping - Round 1; 8/29/2008-8/31/2008 (Down's Lake): Very nice, but if I'm to be objective, this is probably sliding a bit, with the fruit starting to fight with the high alcohol level. Spicy and flavorful on the palate. That, along with the high alcohol, makes this seem like a zinfandel stripped of its color. My favorite of the two whites. G. hated it.
