I opened it and poured and it was all over the place, with bright fruit, uneven finish and a sharp close, so I corked it without gas and came back to it two or three days later - and what a difference. Round fruit forward and soft tannins, no real backbone or spices. But a nice drink that can't compare with the best of the Santa Barbara syrahs (eg Tensley) but enjoyable. Recommend cellaring for a year ot two more.
