Tuesday, February 26, 2013 - Brownish red. Some spice and forest on the nose. Silky and smooth, with fine tannins. Sweet fruit on the palate, maybe a little too sweet? I have tasted other Gigondas wines too that are sweet. Is that normal for Gigondas? Hint of liqourice in the finish. Will not improve, but still last for some years, due to the remaining tannins and (sweet) fruit.
