Friday, January 17, 2014 - Inky black color. The nose is a powerful blend of dark cherry, iron, minerals, smoked meats, light oak, and spice. The palate is plummy with tart apple skin, Necco wafer, violets, and pepper. This wine is medium-bodied with evident tannins and solid acidity. The finish is dark with good fruit and solid tannins. Overall, this wine is youthful but well made with lots of character.
