Saturday, September 7, 2013 - a sweet, sappy nose of (mostly red pinot fruit (showing real purity) mixed with anise, plum and a touch of dusty oak and peppercorn spices. Precise and linear on the palate but with great generosity of fruit with a touch of well integrated tannin in the background. As ample and powerful as this is, this is an '09 that remains light on its feet. More spice driven and Vosne-like. Very well crafted and complete
