Thursday, January 19, 2006 - In this flight, the '99 is more restrained than either the '00 Chave or '99 Jamet. This has closed down quite a bit since my last bottle a year ago. More red fruit here -- dark cherries mostly. Big palate. Somehow, it manages to give an impression of greatness without saying too much today. Despite the faint praise, this was actually my second favorite of the evening.
