Community Tasting Note

Sunday, October 28, 2012 - Colour is still a medium to dark ruby, with no bricking at fringe. An oaky nose to begin with, just like all previous bottles I've had since my first one, back in 2006. But this is the first time that the oak has subsided to allow dark berry and dried flowers onto the front stage. The tannins have been resolved to a large extent, too, and the wine now has a lovely soft and delicate texture. There was a little sweetness the last time I tasted it seven months ago, but it is more obvious and delicious now. This wine should be even nicer in a couple of years time. Certainly, the best bottle of this wine I've had to date, and by a good margin. Fine.
