Community Tasting Note

94 Points

Thursday, February 7, 2013 - 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. An excellent wine and among the best from this appellation at the tasting. better than the 1996, 1999 and 2001. At this same stage though, the 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2009 were better. This wine was not as tannic as I expected and was approachable for being so young. Very pretty nose with some floral nuances. Sweet red and black fruit with notes of currant and jammy berries. This had a leathery feel to it. A little alcohol showed up on the finish. 94-95 points.
