Thursday, March 12, 2015 - Magnifique! Darkest ruby in the glass, almost purple, with garnet edges and powerful legs. An hour after decanting, the nose is superb and captivating, offering harvest fields and evergreen forests, exotic Middle Eastern spices, as well as licorice and cocoa. I kept swirling and swirling, lost in heady fragrances, almost afraid that the palate might disappoint compared to the nose. No worries! The palate begins also with highlands and woodlands, merging into baked chocolate cakes and savory succulent figs. The finish lingers lovingly on the roof of my mouth while coating my tongue. Jupiter is king of planets; this wine is king of CdPs.
