Tuesday, March 3, 2015 - The 2010 La Conseillante is just a brilliant wine, and every time I taste it I'm inclined to agree with Jean-Michel Laporte in thinking one of the best La Conseillante vintages ever. Bursting from the glass with a deep bouquet of black raspberry, mulberry, gravelly soil tones, incipient black truffle and violets, on the palate the wine deep, layered, and unerringly precise, sacrificing none of its trademark elegance despite its massive scale. It has already absorbed its new oak, and the finish is pure and very long. While the wine is relatively shut down right now, its immense quality is impossible to miss.
