Wednesday, June 10, 2015 - Minerals nose with notes of Quince. The mineral carry into the finish of the palate ending in generous lean acidity. Nice depth and complexity. There is a hint of petrol but just enough to add to the complexity. Not really showing much in the way of age yet except maybe in its rich color and integration of flavors. The one knock here is there seems to be sizable hole in the fruit on the palate up front. Luckily the mid and late palates really pick up so you almost forget the cleft fruit. Damn fine wine in any case. Another point in favor of Austria over Germany for dry Riesling.
