Likes this wine:

Friday, March 1, 2013 - Medium pale red ruby, clear.
Nose: upon opening it has beautifully fresh, ripe and crunchy red and dark berries (a mix of raspberries and blackberries) reminding me of pinot noir.
As it warms up in the glass some earthy and leather notes emerge.
On the 2. day the fruit had receded somewhat and the earthy and mineral notes with some aromatic herbs had become more prominent.
Palate: beautiful lightness (despite 14% alcohol) and balance. Very fine grained and pretty strong tannins. The flavour profile starts with very fresh red fruit, evolves to earthy notes and closes bitter - on a note which I quite liked.
Very special - burgundian in a sense, but with very different flavours.
I loved it.

Yes, the wine was wonderful and it's good to be reminded: I didn't have a Passopisciaro since then...
