Thursday, May 7, 2015 - The 1998 Dujac Bonnes Mares in magnum was a beautiful wine, that really needs another decade (or two!) to bloom. The bouquet is a beautifully pure melange of black cherry, plum, a framing of new wood and just some very subtle hints of game and herb tones that are still largely incipient in this very youthful, primary wine. On the palate the wine is once again stunningly pure, with a rock solid core of ripe tannins and minerality, and typical volume and density of fruit. Very elegant, pure and refined.
