Sunday, October 18, 2015 - Deep, intense red and clear, with black center. Blackberry, cassis, vanilla with faint charcoal and pencil lead on the nose. Same notes on the palate with blueberry as well. Lingering blackberry mineral finish. Perfectly ripe, precise fruit supported by very firm structure, that was not austere.

I feel comfortable placing this one in the "outstanding" category because of its high degree of concentration and structure, that never felt heavy or dull. Intense, but not over-extracted.
