Thursday, August 7, 2003 - Sampled at a Mexico City off-line with Pelochain and gusbo featuring a blind tasting of '95 Napa cabs (others were Caymus SS, Opus One, and Silver Oak Alex). The darkest and densest wine on the table. Smooth and soft, with a chunky core of black raspberry, vanilla, and earth. Well-balanced, with tannins that seem fully integrated. Seemed like it had more fruit than structure at this point in its life cycle. Perhaps nearing its peak.
