Tuesday, January 1, 2013 - Decanted roughly 3 hours and consumed over another 2. Virtually opaque black-red color. Muted, ripe nose of cassis, tar, earth. Moderately full on the palate and nicely balanced but it lacks the stuffing I expect of Gruaud even in lesser vintages. Nice but not exciting.
