When the cork was first popped the nose was pretty funky but that blew off within the first 15 mins in the decanter to reveal a complex nose of dark fruits and maybe a little bacon. Flavors of dark cherries and a little plum framed by the little remaining tannins. Not a super long finish but a good effort from the cool 98 summer.
