Sunday, May 28, 2006 - Decanted 1 hour. Dark garnet color, almost opaque with fading at the edges. When the cork was first popped the nose was pretty funky but that blew off within the first 15 mins in the decanter to reveal a complex nose of dark fruits and maybe a little bacon. Flavors of dark cherries and a little plum framed by the little remaining tannins. Not a super long finish but a good effort from the cool 98 summer.
