Wednesday, January 23, 2013 - Still bearing dark cherry core with light evolution on the rim. While the ripeness of the vintage clearly shows on the fruit profile (almost stewed fruit), there's a severity on the palate with a firm finish. Nice tobacco notes but the fruit is lacking clarity, again because of the almost stewed fruit.
Still, an enjoyable Gevrey.
