Saturday, December 24, 2011 - Beautiful, layered, complex and delicious. Lime zest, musky, herbal, exotic floral and honey aromas. While there is a late harvest aspect, the palate is fresh, dry and textured with surprising weight. Finishes with a honeyed but dry flavor. Blend of Riesling, Chard, late harvest Traminer Aromatico (Gewurztraminer as far as I can tell) and Sauvignon Blanc. Fermented in barrel and stainless, then aged on lees--explains the paradoxical mix of texture, richness and gracefulness.
