Saturday, August 4, 2012 - Drank at Carpe Diem in Napa. Massively rich and powerful. The nose is tar, earth, and gamey meat notes. The palate is rich and explosive with more tar, coffee, and black rich fruit. The tannic structure is fine grained. The finish is mouth coating and long. Should hold and let this calm down a bit in the bottle.
