89 Points

Tuesday, August 4, 2015 - A 3 hour decant, drank a small pour over about 15 minutes. Initially, so big, luscious and fruity. The primary flavor here is dusty chocolate. In your face, high intensity. Sweet tobacco, blackberry liqueur qualities. The tannins linger on the finish but the taste does not. Even with just 15 minutes in front of me, the alcohol intensified significantly, and it went from a pleasant heavy portish wine to a somewhat disjointed mess. It has more in common with an Aussie shiraz than a cabernet.
