Tuesday, March 17, 2015 - I have never before scored a wine higher than 96 - and this is a 99! Quite simply exceptional. A perfect match of power with elegance. I got very strong strawberry notes with cassis, some smoke and tobacco. But most of all this is just so full and round. And length like you can't believe. I am lucky enough to have been to Colgin where we tasted 4 unbelievable wines but this is the first bottle I have been able to buy and enjoy at home. We had it together with a 1996 Latour and this destroyed it (although the Latour was great with roast beef and is also a superb wine). I don't know how they do it but Colgin is for me the greatest wine I have ever had.
