Monday, October 15, 2012 - Notes from day 2, small taste.
Dark purple in color.
Nose of seared meat, seared earth, roses, raspberry, olive, lots of stems.
Palate of dark raspberry fruit, dark cherries, earth, coffee, tar, stems.
The finish was long in length, great acidity and structure.
Overall the wine was nice, but still very tight even on day 2. I think these need extended cellaring to really show their stuff as the acidity and structure is fantastic.
