90 Points

Monday, July 25, 2011 - I bought this before reading the CT reviews and if I had read the reviews I possibly wouldn't have purchased it, however, after tasting it I am not dissappointed with my purchase. For those looking for a pure Burgundian experience, I can understand why they might be dissappointed with this wine. This is a fairly big, burly wine with forward dark fruit, deep, earthy undertones and tannins that are still quite grippy. If I didn't know what I was drinking I would confidently say this is a good, Burgundian styled Oregon PN. It lacks the subtlty and finesse that I so enjoy in red Burgundy but it is in no way a bad bottle of wine, in fact, it is quite good. If it was from Oregon , I would say it was excellent because of its Burgunian characteristics.
