Tuesday, May 31, 2016 - This is so obviously chimney rock. Ripe fruit, almost sweet at times, black currant, deep red cherry, vanilla, and some toasty oak. A faint hint of pencil shavings and some gravel but they are dominated by the new world flavors even at 7 years of age. Probably best in the next five years as the tannins are pretty melted by now. Very good wine.
