Thursday, March 13, 2014 - Another impressive 2010 Huet. But very different from the Clos du Bourg, which is funny, because usually it takes much more age for them to show any real differentiation to me. But think of this as the Batard to the Bourg's Chevalier--plumper and maybe deeper, without quite the cutting drive. The fruit is almost luscious and maybe showing more of its sweetness, too. I had leftovers of this (unlike the Clos du Bourg...) and when I came back to it almost two weeks later it was exhibiting much more brightness and precision, really vibrant pineapply fruit with a sandy, quartz-spackled texture.
