Wednesday, August 21, 2013 - Very fruit-forward, with lots of cherry and cranberry in the foreground. There's a bit of baking spice lurking there, and a fair amount of cherry cola on the mid-palate. Even with a couple hours of air, it's still a bit one-dimensional. On the other hand, it was surprisingly light-bodied. I hesitate to call this feminine or elegant, but it wasn't as syrupy or thick as I expected from the taste. Noticeable heat on the finish, and a couple glasses of this really packs a wallop! Overall, it's a bit too juicy/ripe for my tastes, but RRV pinot fans will probably enjoy this very much.
