Saturday, April 4, 2015 - Not decanted. Straight-forward aromas of plum, a little cocoa, tobacco. On the palate, this was a nice mix of red and black fruits, with a surprising meaty, soy-like note coming through. I was surprised at how pronounced the Syrah (22% of the blend) notes were. I think this might be my bias against blending Bordeaux varieties and Rhone varieties in the same wine. Seemed like a basic, albeit well-made, table wine. Drink up.
