Thursday, December 18, 2014 - Characteristic scents of petals, toast and citric fruit. What is unique in this champagne, in my tasting experience, is the pronounced and very distinct dark chocolate-- with undertones of coffee and burnt nuts-- on the palate. These flavors overwhelm the more delicate citric and may not be to everyone's taste. For me, it took the concept of "toastiness" to a new level and made for a very interesting champagne.
