Friday, June 3, 2005 - Not as darkly extracted at Novy Syrah, but still plenty dark. Fruit-driven complexity on the nose with dusty strawberry/cherry (grenache) and deeper meaty leathery earth boisenberry (mouvedre) evident on the nose. These are pretty primary aromas and not layered with complexity. Palate is nicely balanced and pleasent. Finish shows soft tannins and is fairly short. A very nice wine.
