It also smells of cherry, chalk, freshly tilled earth and mushroom. It has plenty of liqueur cherry fruit at its heart and good rocky detail. It is dense and muscular, very much a masculine Volnay but with many elements of beauty. Delicious now yet with plenty in the tank.
